WELCOME BACK!
First of all, a huge welcome back to all our AVR family. It is so lovely to have everyone in the studio again and thank you for putting so much effort into your lessons over zoom. We are extremely proud of your resilience and work ethic and know we have all come out stronger than ever. We also say a big AVR welcome to our new students and their families who have joined us since lockdown ended. It has been fab to meet you all and we hope you have enjoyed your experience here at AVR so far. We cannot wait for all the exciting things that are to come this year for all our students!
AVR THEATRE SCHOOL RETURNING SEPTEMBER 2021 WITH MATILDA! THEATRE SCHOOL
Returning this September! Applications for AVR Theatre School are now open. Returning every Saturday from September in preparation for our first show Matilda Jr, with performances in November. We are so excited to be one of the first set of ‘Revolting Children’ to be able to perform this production as licensing has only just been released.

Another Welcome to the coolest kids in town! LIL BEATZ
Another welcome! Lil Beatz has recently started using our studios for their street classes, open to children aged 2-6. We are so happy to be working with them and love seeing such smiley faces when the students arrive for their lessons. Mr Ryan is now teaching for Lil Beatz Blackpool, as well as continuing on with our street classes at AVR. We can’t wait to watch those little stars take to the stage!
Renovation work
During the last lockdown a large amount of building work has taken place throughout the AVR leading to the renovation of studio 3 (previously studio 2) and a fantastic green room for our students. Work is continuing to add another new studio (studio 4) to our facilities, with the aim that this will be ready for September, providing more options and benefits to all our students. Throughout lockdown we also renovated the sports bar downstairs and continue to work on the lounge.
You may also have noticed the bowlers. We officially purchased the bowling green and pavilion 2 years ago and we are thrilled and very proud that it has now been restored to it’s former glory as a bowling green. Downstairs is now a members bar, however parent’s are very welcome to apply for membership. Membership will give you discounted drinks and discounted entry on some events. Please speak to Denise for more information.
Competitions – We are extremely proud of how well our students have done with online competitions during lockdown with lots of medals and trophies awarded. In our most recent competition, all 4 of the group dances entered placed in 1st, with a number of our soloists placing in the top 3 for their categories too. We are already looking forward to being able to compete in person again this year and our show teams are working super hard in preparation. Big thank you to Kirsty for organising our competition teams.
Performance Team – We are looking to add students to both of our current Performance Teams. Please enquire at Reception or with Miss Amie for more information.
Privates – Limited slots are still available for private sessions. Please enquire at Reception or by messaging AVR directly if you are interested.
MOANA JR SUMMER SCHOOL 2021
The ocean is calling! We cannot wait to get started on our production of Moana Jr, which will be rehearsed over our summer school (Monday-Friday for 2 weeks starting on August 2nd). It is open to all children aged 5+ and will finish with 3 spectacular shows over Friday 13th and Saturday 14th August. The price for the 2 weeks is £200 which includes all costumes and 2 tickets to any of the 3 performances. Auditions for main roles will take place on June 6th 2021. Application forms available from reception.
AVR THEATRE SCHOOL RETURNING 2021

We are so excited to be one of the first set of ‘Revolting Children’ to be able to perform this production as licensing has only just been released. The Theatre School will replace the Musical Theatre classes which were put in place to comply with COVID restrictions. If your child wishes to be part of the Theatre School please complete an application form. Spaces are limited and we have received huge interest and wish to prioritise places to current AVR students. The cost is £12 for 3 hours 9 -18yrs and £10 for 2.5 hours for 6-8 yrs Applications can be made online or via a form from reception. Please note that there will be new packages available for September 2021 including the theatre school.
